Bantabaa is Mandinka, a West African language, and translates as meeting place. The Bantabaa Community Project started in 2015 as a space for refugees around Görlitzer Park in Berlin Kreuzberg.
We offer legal advice and provide support for migrants and refugees in the daily struggle with the german administrative jungle.
Today Bantabaa Community also initiates and promotes creative and cultural expressions in food, music, storytelling, visual and performing arts, which reflect on ideas and perspectives that are various, but all profoundly based on equality and respect.
We also welcome people who want to exchange ideas or collaborate with us. If you want to join our activities or just share a coffee or tea, feel free to contact us or drop by our space.
